Indianapolis Institute for Families, Inc.
Foster/Adoption Adjustment Program
Because the families referred to this program have children in their homes that have experienced extensive abuse, neglect and/or violence resulting in severe delays and disorders, the Foster Care and Adoption Program is specifically designed to educate parents regarding the special needs of foster and adoptive children, to assist both their children and parents as they transition children into their families, to facilitate reunification with biological families when appropriate and to facilitate long-term stability in adoptive families. Family services target long-term attachment/bonding, recovery, adjustment, stability, positive re-development, effective parenting and support through treatment, collaborative case management and experiential programming.
